1915 Farm

1915 Farm sits on 57 acres outside Meyersville, Texas, named for the farmhouse at the center of it. Tanner and Catherine restored that house, and the farm around it, after leaving careers in oil and gas and in pharmaceutical sales. Today the operation raises cattle, heritage hogs and chickens together on the same pasture ground.

The couple runs the farm with a full crew. Three people work in shipping and fulfillment, and a lead farm hand works the pasture, which is what lets a farm this size ship nationwide instead of only selling at the gate. What started with orders packed in a shipping container now goes out every week to families across the country.

Cattle, hogs and chickens are rotated through the pastures with enough rest between passes for the grass and the soil to recover. The animals get no hormones and no sub therapeutic antibiotics, and the feed blend for the chickens and hogs is free of corn and soy. Beef is dry aged and cut in house at the 1915 Meatery, then shipped frozen straight from the farm.
